Cadgers Brig

Cowpt owre the trauchelt burn

Aside the ford, so’s we

Dinnae get oor feet wet

Gaun hame frae the Cross Keys,

Ev’ry stane is trampit

Richt fast intae place by

Sumpenteen centuries

    o passin.

Bricht is the mune - an

Roond as a bell ringin

In the wee sma oors - that

Glints the waater aneath

    yer keystane.
